NBS manufactures high-quality graphics
and aftermarket parts for the vending, cooler and fountain industry.
Our extensive customer base includes Pepsi, Coke, Cadbury Schweppes,
Cott Beverages, Beverage Air, Dixie Narco, Royal Vendors, and
Sanden Vendo. In the following paragraphs you will discover
how NBS came into existence and the direction that we are heading.

HISTORY
William Roberson started NBS in October of 1984. The company was
based in Pompano Beach, Florida. Will's mother, Virginia Roberson
moved from her home in Ohio to help Will run the financial side
of the business. Ms. Virginia recently turned 85 and she is still
a viable partner with NBS.
Our original name was National Beverage
Suppliers. In December 1986, to better identify with customer needs,
the name was changed to National Beverage Screen Printers. We have
diversified our business and seek new markets within the beverage
and food service industry. Due to this evolving nature of our business
we have now shortened the name of our company to simply NBS.
During 1989, it was decided that the
business climate in South Florida was not conducive to maintaining
a profitable manufacturing facility. The decision was made to relocate
and although several states were investigated as possible relocation
sites, the state of South Carolina was offering the best business
package at the time. NBS agreed to the proposal by the Economic
Development Group, so we closed our Florida facility and moved all
operations to Williston, South Carolina.
In July of 2003, AQA International
certified NBS in ISO 14001 making NBS the only screen printer in
South Carolina to be environmentally certified. NBS followed that
certification in August of 2003 with the International Quality System
Standard ISO 9001 and Q9001-2000 certification.
In October of 2002, Janet Roberson
became the principle owner of the business. NBS is now a certified
member of the Women's Business Enterprise (WBE). During the 16 years
in Williston, NBS has had three building expansions and currently
has a workforce of approximately 40 employees.
NBS was recently honored by the county
of Barnwell and the State of South Carolina as an Economic Ambassador.
NBS has been dedicated to our customers since 1984 and we are
thankful of their support they have shown our organization over
the last two decades. We have grown in size and customer base,
but we still are a family business and we still believe that the
customer is number one.
DIVERSITY
The Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), founded
in 1997, is the nation's leading advocate of women-owned businesses
as suppliers to America 's corporations. It also is the largest
third-party certifier of businesses owned and operated by women
in the United States. WBENC works to foster diversity in the world
of commerce with programs and policies designed to expand opportunities
and eliminate barriers in the marketplace for women business owners.
WBENC works with representatives of corporations to encourage
the utilization and expansion of supplier/vendor diversity programs.
